I'm really "digging" Atlantis.

Hey, what's up, dogs?  My human and I are continuing our exploration of the Atlantis Resort.  As you may know, there are many myths about the ancient lost civilization of Atlantis.  The resort has a special area called "The Dig," which is a huge aquarium featuring "artifacts" from a fictional archaeological dig.

So, my human and I decided to check it out...here are the photos!

There was some pretty cool stuff.  That eel was scary though!  More soon...

Exploring ATLANTIS

Hey, what's up, dogs?  Once again, I'm here at the Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas, showing you guys what I did on my winter vacation.  This place is huge and very tropical.

Here I am in front of the iconic Mayan Pyramid, which is an easily recognizable landmark on the resort grounds.  You can see the massive water slide which drops guests straight down the side of the pyramid and down into a clear acrylic tube, which travels through (drumroll please)...

...a tank full of sharks!  Cue "Jaws" theme song here.

(Uh, are you sure I'm safely balanced on this wall?  I really don't want to fall in...)

On certain days, all guests are invited to watch the shark feedings.

It's a feeding frenzy!!

Seems the seagulls want a piece of the action too.

Whew!  After all that excitement, my human and I wanted to find someplace to relax.  This looks nice...

And so does this...

And these...

But eventually we came across what became my human's favorite spot in the whole resort.

We found it while walking this covered path...
Here it is!  This is the lobby area of The Cove at Atlantis.

It feels very serene here...but the walls are missing, and there's a constant gentle breeze...sort of a cross between a tiki hut and a Zen garden.  A great place to relax and meditate.

Ommmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
Ommmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.   Ommmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm....................

What I did on my winter vacation

Hey, what's up, dogs?  Today I'm here to tell you (and show you!) what I did over winter vacation.  I already hinted in my last post that I headed somewhere warm and tropical.  In order to do that, my human and I had to hop on a plane.  So we woke up super-early, drove ourselves and our luggage to the airport, and braved looooooooong security lines until we finally boarded our flight

Let's see...seat 23C....23C.  Ahh.  Here it...

WHAT???

What the...Ajdin!  Are you coming with?  Why am I always the last to know about these things?  Sigh.  Silly human...keeping your dog in the dark.

Anyway, good to see you (yawn), Ajdin.  It's going to be a (yaaaaawn!) fantastic vacation.  Yeah, we got up really early this morning...what?  No, no, I don't...need a nap.  This is...really exciting and I...want to talk... to....you...

(zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz)

.........................

Ahem.  Sorry about that.  The next thing I knew, we were here:

It's the Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas!  Here's the view from our hotel room balcony:

This place is HUGE!  It's like a city unto itself.  Even I, an experienced survivalist, will need a map to get around.

Hmmm...What shall I see and do first?

Holiday mail

Hey, what's up, dogs?  Happy New Year!

Well, my human and I came back from our loooooooooong vacation to find the mailbox STUFFED with mail...including some great Christmas cards from our stuffie friends!  Let's see what we've got.

This one's from Sandy Bear!  He informs me that there's TONNES of snow up north, and that he's been busy supervising shovelers, decorators, caterers, and so on.  A busy busy bear, is Sandy.

Here's one from Ajdin.  Uh oh, the "L" in the word "BELIEVE" was damaged in the mail.  No worries, we still get the message:  Believe in the magic of Christmas.  It's magical all right!  Thanks Ajdin.

And here's a card from Jerry and Ben--a pair of adorable polar bear cubs.  Are they supposed to represent Jerry and Ben?  Which one is which???  They're not wearing aprons or stealing baked goods, so I can't tell.  Too cute!

Finally, we got a note from Little Fox thanking us for the Christmas package we sent along.  He says he plans to use the fox-themed playing cards that we sent him the next time he goes to the casino.  Thank you for the thank you, LF, and you're very welcome!

All right...now we're all caught up on our mail.  Next time we'll catch you guys up on what we did during our vacation.

Here's a hint:  it was warm and tropical.  Just what I needed in the middle of winter.

See you soon...
